Overall Limitations
XenApp and XenDesktop 6.5 support or do not support the following functions:
- Drag and drop of either text or files between local workstation and sessions or between two unique sessions is not supported.
- Copy and paste of text between local workstation and sessions or between two unique sessions is supported.
- Copy and paste of files between two published applications in a shared session is supported (two applications running from the same Windows session on the XenApp server).
General Troubleshooting Steps (Only applicable to XenApp 6.5)
Start Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.
- Highlight the ICA-TCP port and go to Connection > Edit.
Click the Client Settings tab.
In the Client Mapping Overrides section on the right, verify if Disable Client Clipboard Mapping is checked. If it is checked and you want the clipboard to map, clear the check box. If the check box is not checked, go to Step 2.
For Windows Terminal Services Configuration in Windows 2003 or Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration in Windows 2008:
Highlight the ICA-TCP connection, right-click and go to Properties.
Click the Client Settings tab.
In the Disable the following section at the bottom, verify if Client Clipboard Mapping is checked. If it is checked and you want the clipboard to map, clear the check box. If the check box is not checked, go to Step 2.
Look at a user session in Citrix Server Administration or Terminal Server Manager (Remote Desktop Services Manager in Windows 2008), and verify if Wfshell.exe is running. If not, run regedt32.

In the Value of AppSetup, is Cmstart.exe present? Add Cmstart.exe if not present.

Press Enter
cmstart.exe is a process that runs when you log on to the MetaFrame server. It is associated with Wfshell.exe.
Verify wfshell.exe is running as a process under the session.
Verify that the registry includes a subkey under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlCitrixWfshell named Virtual Clipboard and the subkey has two values: DllName and NotifyEvent, both of type REG_SZ and respective entries of Vclipbd.dll and WfshellVclipbdNotify.
Verify Vclipbd.dll is on the system drive.
Verify if the default.ica or template ICA files within the Web Interface or StoreFront site contain the entry ClipboardAllowed= On within the [WfClient] or [<App Server>] section (no entry defined defaults to Clipboard being allowed).

History
This clipboard manager keeps the clipboard history that you can use to paste any saved fragment again.
Reliability
Now you don't have to worry that copying one thing will erase something else! The clipboard contents will be saved, even in the case of a system crash or power failure.
Any Format
The manager supports all clipboard formats, including text, links, images, files and all others.
Clipboard History
The following information is displayed for each saved fragment:
Clipboard Center 1 71 Cm
- Brief fragment contents: a text or an image.
- The icon of the fragment's format as defined in your system.
- The icon of the application from which the fragment was copied to the clipboard.
- Additional brief information for each fragment according to its format.
- The list of all formats the fragment can be used in.
- Preview area.
Editing, Colors and Hotkeys
You can edit any text fragment, set a hotkey for quick paste of the fragment, and set the color of the fragment in the list.
For added security, you can assign a display name for any fragment that hides its contents.
Drag and drop
You can drag any fragment from the clipboard manager to the input field.
No limits
Unlimited number of fragments stored in the clipboard history (by default, 500 fragments are saved).
Hide from prying eyes
You can protect your data with strong 448-bit Blowfish encryption, so that nobody can access them without knowing your password.
Formats
All data are copied to the clipboard in several formats at once, so you can select the format that you want to use.
Paste several fragments at once
You can select several fragments in the clipboard manager and paste them with one click.
Favorites
Ability to customize favorite clipboard fragments.
Toolbar
The program toolbar in the Windows taskbar.
Filtering
Ability to filter fragments in the clipboard manager.
Exceptions
Ability to specify applications in which the clipboard monitor will be disabled.
Sounds
Ability to assign sounds to program events.
